CCT Round Tables

The Work of the Older Child
and Preparing Materials
for the Level III Atrium

CCT Round Tables, offered through the Center for Children and Theology, are a regular regional gathering for catechists and others interested in the work of the atrium.
Join us for our fourth Round Table.

The Work of the Older Child
and Preparing Materials
for the Level III Atrium

Come share ideas about the work of the older child as we join St. Mark's catechists in preparing materials for their first Level III atrium.

Sunday, May 17, 2009
from 1-4 pm hosted at
St. Mark's, Capitol Hill
Third and A Streets, SE
Washington, DC

During the last hour, we will watch and discuss a short video presentation on the work of the older child, created by the Association of the Catechesis of the Good Shepherd.

Round Table suggested donation is $10. This donation helps to defray the cost of hospitality, and half will be donated to the Association of the Catechesis of the Good Shepherd to help support their production of the video on the work of the child.
RSVP to let us know you'll be attending! Please forward this email to anyone you think might be interested.

More About CCT Round Tables

What: Round Tables for catechists, assistants, parents, pastors, and DRE's of area Catechesis of the Good Shepherd programs. Each Round Table will begin with a presentation of a chosen topic and include time for discussion of that and other topics.

When: 2-3 times/year, Sunday afternoons, Saturday mornings, or weekday evenings.

Where: At area atriums, all are welcome to host a Round Table in conjunction with us.

Why: To help us get to know each other, support our work, implement course work effectively, make a place for assistants and parents in the catechesis community, discuss issues not covered in courses.

How: We will use a local email list to announce the Round Tables. When you get these, please forward them to your co-workers, parents, and any others you think would like to join us. The Center will choose the topics together with the hosting atrium, based on feedback from you. Let us know topics you would like to have included. If you get this announcement you are on the email list, please send us the emails of interested persons (with their permission).

Who: We will need leaders for each Round Table. A presenter who has some expertise in the chosen topic, and others to serve as discussion leaders. Please consider offering yourself for either role.

Please: * RSVP if you plan to come when you get an announcement of a Round Table
* plan to host a Round Table in your atrium
* consider leading a Round Table
* suggest topics for future Round Tables
* forward the Round Table announcements to anyone you think might be interested!

In our second Round Table in May 2007, a group of catechists evaluated a prepared environment and discussed ways to think of perfecting their own atriums for the coming year. For those of you unable to attend, enjoy these practical tips for evaluating your own atrium, and identifying problem spots and possible solutions.
